Bajaj Pulsar NS125: Road Test Review

It is impossible to not mention the Bajaj Pulsar when one is talking about an entry level sporty bike. The Pulsar NS 125 gets a downsized version of the NS160’s 160.3cc engine – a 124.45cc single-cylinder, air-cooled mill making 12PS and 11Nm. Even in terms of design, it looks identical to the NS160 and NS200 and is built around the same perimeter frame as well. It is priced at Rs 1,04,371 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Bajaj Pulsar 125

Well, the second bike on this list is a Pulsar too, and no, not the same one. The Pulsar 125, sans the ‘NS’, is the classic version of the OG Indian sporty bike. It is powered by a 124.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 11.8PS and 10.8Nm. While the output figures aren’t all that different, the asking price is – Rs 81 414 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it the most affordable bike in the segment.

KTM 125 Duke

The most powerful bike in the segment, the KTM 125 Duke, is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine belting out 14.5PS and 12Nm. It looks similar to its older siblings with a sharp and edgy design language and is priced at a whopping  Rs 1,78,041 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda SP 125

The second most affordable bike on the list is the Honda SP 125 with its frugal and efficient 124cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor which generates 10.8PS and 10.9Nm. Priced at Rs 84,204 (ex-showroom Delhi), the SP 125 is quite sporty and flaunts vibrant colour options.

TVS Raider 125

TVS Raider Review - Likes & Dislikes

The TVS Raider is a sporty streetfighter producing 11.38PS and 11.2Nm from its 124.8cc air/oil-cooled single cylinder engine. Apart from its sporty looks and capable engine, the Raider shines in terms of features with a fully digital console equipped with Bluetooth, navigation, voice assist and more. To top it off, it offers great efficiency as well. The price for the Raider ranges from Rs 85,973 to Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom Delhi).
