From new body work to an overhauled engine, this model will bring a host of updates
Hero MotoCorp recently teased its upcoming XPulse 200T and before the company launches the bike in the coming weeks, here’s a detailed look at the motorcycle which has gone on sale in El Salvador. And while these pictures give us a fair idea of the design, the technical specifications of the India-spec model will differ.
The most obvious change to the new model is the updated styling. Though a leaked image already gave us a glimpse at the new model, this video gives a close look. For starters, the headlight of the new bike has been repositioned and is now complemented by a small flyscreen. This now gives the bike a proportionate fascia. Then bits like the new grab rail, belly pan, fork gators and the new paint options make it all the more appealing.

Now, the bike being sold in El Salvador features the 2-valve engine with a carburetor, the one sold in India is likely to feature the same 4-valve engine from the XPulse 200. This will push the performance from the current bike’s 18.1PS and 16.15Nm to 19.1PS and 17.35Nm, same as its ADV sibling.
The telescopic fork and monoshock suspension setup, as well as the braking setup will remain unchanged. And while in El Salvador, this bike comes shod with Pirelli Angel tyres, the Indian model will continue with the MRF Nylogrip Zapper for the front and Revz for the rear.
The Hero XPulse 200T should hit the showrooms later this month and demand Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000 than the current Rs 1,24,396 (ex-showroom Delhi). So, even with the price bump, it should continue to be the most affordable offering in the segment.
