Has an ADV-like tall and lean stance
After being spotted earlier this month with accessories, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been spied once again, and these might be some of the clearest shots we’ve seen of the upcoming ADV.
While the bike runs the same 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke rims, the imposing stance, upswept tank and big beak gives the motorcycle a tall ‘rally bike’ look. Its design seems to be a departure from the current model because of the new fuel tank and front brace. The bike will get a semi-digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity.

Previous spyshots have revealed that the Himalayan 450’s liquid-cooled single cylinder engine will be housed inside a double-cradle frame with a bolt-on subframe, another first for Royal Enfield and will reportedly produce around 40PS. While the current Himalayan has a link-type monoshock, the Himalayan 450 will be seen donning a swingarm-mounted unit working alongside a long-travel USD fork.
The test mule appears almost production-ready, which means the bike could be here soon. Especially after Royal Enfield teased the bike’s launch itself, we think the brand could launch the bike at Rider Mania, which will take place towards the end of November. We expect Royal Enfield to price the bike around the Rs 2.80 lakh mark (ex-showroom) to pitch it against the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
