Which one is the best fit for you?
In January, the Hero HF Deluxe outsold the hugely popular Splendor, making it one of the most popular motorcycles in India at the moment. It was recently updated to BS6, with the variant list revised. So, how is each one different? And which one is best for you?
Self-Start, Drum Brake, Alloy Wheel - Fi
This is now the most affordable variant in the HF Deluxe lineup. The previous BS4 version was available with a spoke wheel variant but that has been done away with on the BS6 bike. As the name suggests, you get an electric starter, along with drum brakes and alloy wheels at both ends. This being a BS6-compliant engine, it now gets fuel-injection, but misses out on Hero’s i3S stop-start technology. This variant costs Rs 55,925.
Self-Start, Drum Brake, Alloy Wheel - Fi - i3S
Once again, things are fairly self-explanatory here. This variant gives you everything you get in the above version, plus an i3S stop-start system. As a result of this it’s priced at Rs 57,250, making it just about Rs 1,300 more expensive than the base variant. But considering that the i3S system will result in better fuel efficiency, you should be able to recover this cost over time while also being slightly kinder to the environment.
Self-Start, Drum Brake, Alloy Wheel - Fi - All Black
The All Black variant has been carried over from the BS4 bike as well. What it means is a more blacked-out paint scheme with some of the chrome bits and lighter colours making way for darker colours. It isn’t explicitly mentioned whether this version gets i3S or not, but going by the Rs 56,050 price and the trend seen on the BS4 bike, we think it gets the stop-start tech.
