Hero Honda bike prices hiked

Hero Honda, India's top two wheeler maker and seller company, has hiked its bike prices between Rs. 500 to Rs. 1500. The company is known for reliable, better performer and affordable bikes, now it has hiked its bike prices. The main reason of prices is rising input costs. Hero Honda Splendor, Hero Honda Passion and Pro and Hero Honda CD Deluxe are company's flagship models in the segment of commuter segment. Hero Honda Xtreme and Hero Honda Hunk are also most popular bikes in India in segment of semi-sports.



A senior official of the company stated, "To partially off-set the rising input costs, we have increased prices of our models in the range of Rs 500 to Rs 1,500." He further said that the company has increased its bike prices after a long time. This time, the price hike includes entry level to high-end Hero Honda bikes.

Hero Honda Motors is setting on the top of the Indian two wheeler market with the production of above 5.22 million bikes per year and there is almost all segment bikes are available with affordable and competitive prices.

The company has a large series of different bikes in each segment and Hero Honda CD Down is the entry-level bike and Hero Honda Karizma is the high-end variant that are of 100cc and 223cc engine capacity, respectively.

The company always comes with new and latest bike models in India to be updated and Hero Honda has launched a re-freshed version of its popular bikes Hero Honda Splendor Pro that comes comes with elegant and dynamic body design.

The recent price hike might effect the sales figures of the number one two-wheeler company. Hero Honda is one of the big joint venture between Japan based Honda Motors and India's Hero Group that is in the process of break-up.

One the other hand, its partner and one of the main competitor Honda Motorcycle and scooters India has recently announced a cheap bike for Asian market, including India, which might be big gun against Hero Honda's entry-level bikes.

This latest bike price hike from Hero Honda might influence other two wheeler majors like Bajaj Auto, TVS Motors and Suzuki Motors which are providing affordable bikes in India.
