Hero MotoCorp, India’s number one motorcycle manufacturer, launched Maestro 110 cc four stroke automatic scooter in Goa, India. Hero Maestro 110 is the second scooter of the firm in Indian automotive industry. The Maestro is basically a revamped and rebadged Honda Active, continuing the badge engineering trend that Hero MotoCorp India has now initialized in the Indian two-wheeler segment.
Hero MotoCorp Maestro 110 comes powered by a 109cc four stroke engine that produces 8 BHP of top output power and 9.1 Nm of maximum torque. The automatic scooter has a self-start and combi-braking (both front and rear brakes are applied together) as standard. The company has added a new feature on the 2012 Hero Maestro, against Honda Activa is the presence of the digital analog instrument cluster. The new automatic lifestyle scooter has a bold trapezoidal multi-focal reflector headlamp which improves its overall styling. Additionally, the overall styling of Maestro is lot different from the Honda Activa. With bulky Maestro, the two wheeler auto major will directly target the male automatic scooter buying populace who might find the Hero Pleasure’s dimensions a little small for their liking. The Hero Maestro 110 is priced at Rs. 48,280 (ex-showroom Goa).
It is expected that Maestro will soon be available in most parts of the country in a phased manner even as the firm starts selling this automatic lifestyle scooter across other cities very soon. Hero Maestro 110 was first put on display at an event held in London, where company unveiled its new logo and branding. Apart from London event, Hero MotoCorp also showcased its Maestro at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo held in capital. Hero Maetsro will be available in six different shades, blue, green, red, white, black and silver.
