Limited to just 100 units, the Hero CE001 is based on the Karizma XMR
At the Hero World 2024 event, we got to see new motorcycles from Hero MotoCorp, such as the Hero Xtreme 125R and Mavrick 440. Another notable bike showcased was the Hero CE001, where "CE" stands for "Commemorative Edition '' in honor of Hero MotoCorp’s founder, Dr. Brijmohan Lal Munjal.
The CE001 is based on the new Hero Karizma XMR but comes with a half-fairing, like the original Karizma. It's designed with carbon fiber elements throughout, contributing to a sleek appearance. The bike features a slightly raised single-piece handlebar, a smoked windshield, and a slip-on Akrapovic exhaust.
For braking, the CE001 is equipped with a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, paired with USD fork suspension and a gas-charged monoshock. While Hero MotoCorp hasn't disclosed the performance figures, the lightweight components and Akrapovic exhaust suggest improved performance compared to the Karizma XMR, which has a 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 25.5PS and 20.4Nm.
Limited to just 100 units, the Hero CE001 is expected to be available for sale in July 2024. Due to the extensive use of carbon fiber and high-end components like the Akrapovic exhaust, it's anticipated to be relatively expensive. And we’ll have to wait and see whether the bike will be accessible to the general public, considering its extremely limited production.
