Hero has added another feature packed variant to the Passion’s lineup. We explain what’s different in them
After the Hero Glamour, Destini and Splendor Plus, the Hero Passion has now received the Xtec treatment, packing a bunch of new and exciting features. So, which variant should you get?
Hero Passion Pro
Hero MotoCorp launched the Passion Pro in its BS6 avatar in 2020. The standard variant is powered by a 113.2cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor that is shared with the Splendor iSmart BS6. The engine makes 9.15PS and 9.79Nm in its latest avatar. It gets Hero’s i3S technology which turns the engine off when idle and switches it back on when the throttle is twisted, making it more fuel-efficient.
The Passion Pro gets a sporty commuter design with fuel tank extensions and intriguing colour schemes with graphics. The commuter packs a bunch of convenient features including a semi-digital instrument cluster with real-time mileage indicator. It also gets the engine cut-off at fall technology and also monitors engine oil temperature.
The standard Passion Pro is available in a front disc brake option and drum brakes on both ends, priced at Rs 73,830 and Rs 70,820 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.

Hero Passion Pro 100 Million Edition
The Passion Pro 100 Million Edition is the exact same motorcycle as the standard variant, even down to the engine, hardware and features. The only difference is that this motorcycle is a limited edition and gets an exclusive dual tone colour scheme. The bike is painted in red and white and gets a ‘100 Million Edition’ logo on the fuel tank.
The 100 Million Edition, too, is available in two offerings: a front disc brake option, priced at Rs 75,620, and another with drum brakes on both ends, retailing at Rs 72,620 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Hero Passion Xtec
The latest addition to the Passion lineup is the feature-packed Hero Passion Xtec. While the Xtec variant carries forward the same body design as the other variants, it does get a few distinguishing elements. The Passion Xtec gets a redesigned LED headlight unit, along with chrome 3D branding and new graphics with a uni-colour scheme. It also gets coloured rim tape on the wheels, which makes it look sportier.
In terms of features, the Passion Xtec gets the same digital instrument cluster as the Splendor Xtec. It comes with Bluetooth connectivity and displays incoming call alerts, caller info, and SMS notifications. It also indicates service reminders, real time mileage and low fuel. Other features include side stand engine cut off and USB charging socket.
The Hero Passion Xtec gets the same engine and underpinnings as the standard variant and is available in two trims: front disc brake priced at Rs 78,990 and another with drum brakes on both ends at Rs 74,590.
Our Pick: Passion Xtec Disc
Despite having the same engine and underpinnings, our choice at BikeDekho is the Hero Passion Xtec. It makes for a much safer ride, courtesy of the disc brake, and the new features will certainly make the commuting experience more convenient.
