You can now customise the graphics on your Splendor Plus with this new variant
- This variant comes in three colour options in addition to the one with customisable graphics.
- These three colours have been created by the top three participants of the ‘Hero CoLabs’ contest.
- It costs the same as the i3S-equipped variant.
Further bolstering its lineup after the introduction of new colour options for the Maestro Edge 125, Pleasure Plus and the Glamour for this festive season, Hero MotoCorp has now launched a special variant of the Hero Splendor Plus called Black and Accent. Its base price stands at Rs 64,470 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is the same as the regular variant with i3S technology. Under this variant, you can customise the graphics to your liking.
The variant is available in three ready-made design themes, which are essentially the creations of the top three contestants of the ‘Hero CoLabs’ contest that was held in April this year. They’re called Beetle Red, Firefly Golden and Bumble Bee Yellow. Customers who want their own graphics can opt for the all-black version, on which graphics can be added for an extra Rs 899. Buyers can also purchase the full kit which includes the graphics, premium 3D logo, and rim tapes for Rs 1,399.
Apart from cosmetics, the motorcycle remains the same as the i3S variant. It is powered by a 97.2cc single-cylinder air-cooled, fuel-injected engine producing 8.02PS and 8.05Nm. The base kick start variant is priced at Rs 60,960 whereas the electric start version costs Rs 63,260. These prices are a little on the higher side, especially considering its primary rival, the bigger-engined 110cc TVS Radeon, starts from Rs 59,942 (all ex-showroom Delhi). However, with Hero’s new initiative of bringing the world of customisation to buyers, it should be able to make the motorcycle a little more alluring, not to mention giving the humble commuter motorcycle its own identity.
