The Hero XPulse 200 BS6’s specifications have been revealed ahead of its launch. The entry-level adventure motorcycle will now be available in just a fuel-injected variant. The carburetted variant has been discontinued. The updated 199.66cc motor now gets an oil-cooler for more efficient cooling and a catalytic converter to meet the stringent BS6 emission norms. Unofficial bookings for the XPulse 200 BS6 began in March.
The new motor now makes 18.08PS at 8500rpm and 16.45Nm at 6500rpm. That’s a drop of 0.3PS and 0.65Nm over its BS4 predecessor. Even the 157kg kerb weight is 3kg more than before. The BS6 motor continues to use the same 5-speed gearbox.

The XPulse 200 BS6 was expected to launch by late-March but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it could launch post the lockdown. Sources suggest a 10 to 15 per cent price hike over the BS4 XPulse 200 FI. We expect the XPulse 200 BS6 to be priced at around Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom).
