The adventure motorcycle is now Hero’s best-selling motorcycle above 125cc
Hero MotoCorp made us wait for a while to bring the Impulse's successor but it turned out that the XPulse 200 was worth the wait. So it's not surprisingly that the XPulse 200 sold nearly seven times more than the Xtreme 200R.
In the latest monthly sales chart, the XPulse 200 managed to sell 3,490 units while only 530 units of the Xtreme 200R were sold in the same month. In fact, the XPulse 200 was the manufacturer’s best-selling bike in segment above 125cc.
Hero’s naked might not have done wonders for the brand but the positioning of the XPulse in our market as the most affordable adventure motorcycle in the country certainly helped its cause. Not only is the price in favour of the XPulse but also the way it is built. The small adventure motorcycle has a capable chassis, perfectly set up long travel suspension, high ground clearance and is a light motorcycle.
The 199cc single-cylinder motor might not be the ideal companion on the highways, but when you are taking on the nasty stuff, the engine offers more than enough thrills to keep you happy.
At EICMA 2019, Hero also showcased a rally kit for the XPulse 200 which offers adjustable longer travel suspension, knobby tyres, handlebar risers and a flatter seat. This makes the XPulse more capable while going off-road but then the kit is not for road use. Click here to know more about the new kit.
