For the first time, two different Hero bikes have been spied together
Not even a month after it was first spied, Hero’s new 125cc sporty commuter has been spied once again. It gets pretty aggressive styling and the overall design is a bit similar to the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, though with a few tweaks. That said, the tank design looks massive and frankly a bit weird, so we hope the final design is more cohesive.
The likelihood of it being a 125cc bike is further reinforced by the presence of a telescopic fork and rear drum brake. The previous spy shot showed that the console could be a fully digital LCD one, potentially offering smartphone connectivity as well, to help it rival the feature-packed TVS Raider better. As for its engine, Hero could plonk in the Glamour’s 125cc engine making 10.87PS and 10.6Nm.
With the TVS Raider in the crosshairs, Hero could price the around the Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom) mark.

Alongside this was another naked bike, one that we think might be called the Xtreme 200R 4V. Hero had filed for a design patent of the same earlier this year and only a quick glance is enough to tell you that the design patent is very similar to the way the test mule looks. The design is sporty, but nothing that’ll help it really stand out.
Now while online reports suggest it’ll get the Xtreme 200S’ engine, we think it’ll get the updated 199.5cc 4-valve air-cooled engine with an oil cooler that we’ve seen on the XPulse 200 4V and the XPulse 200T 4V. It only makes sense for Hero to use the more modern and more powerful engine in such a sporty-looking bike. Hero might even rely on a touch of nostalgia to increase the bike's appeal by giving it a more memorable name, like maybe the Hunk 200.
We expect Hero to price this one at around Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero will then have something to go up against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Honda Hornet 2.0, Bajaj Pulsar N250 and the Yamaha FZ 25. We expect both the bikes to be launched towards the end of this year.
