Fortunately, it’s a very minor increment this time around
Following on from yesterday’s price hike of the immensely popular Honda Activa 6G, we can now report that the Japanese manufacturer has also increased prices of its bigger sibling, the Activa 125. Fortunately, while the 6G’s price went up by over Rs 500, the increment is much smaller on the Activa 125.
The Activa 125 BS6 was launched almost a year ago in September 2019, at a starting price of Rs 67,490. This means that despite this recent hike, the scooter has only become around Rs 1,500 more expensive over the last 11 months, which is much better than some other models in this price segment.
The scooter is powered by an air-cooled, fuel-injected 124cc motor that produces 8.29PS and 10.3Nm. Suspension comprises of a conventional telescopic fork and preload-adjustable monoshock, and a front disc brake is available as an option. The Activa 125 is also quite a feature rich scooter, coming with semi-digital instrumentation, an ACG starter, idle stop-start system and a side-stand engine cut-off.
