Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) in collaboration with Rajpal Honda (Honda’s Authorized Dealer in Indore) has taken a step ahead to promote road safety in the region. They have inaugurated a Road Safety Education Centre (RSEC) situated at Scheme No. 59, AB Road, near Maa Vihar Colony in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This is an all new concept as the company will empower females in mobility by giving them free riding classes and spread awareness on safe riding in the area. Honda’s Road Safety Education Centre was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Shashikant KanKane, City Superintendent of Police, Indore and Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, HMSI.
The main highlights of this assignment will be that females, above the age of 18, can learn to ride in just 4 hours and kids between the age of 9 to 12 can know about safe riding concepts practically by riding Honda CRF 50. Women of Indore can register themselves for free by emailing at rsec@rajpalhonda.com or by calling at 09827657000. The centre will be open 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday). Honda has always been active in organising such events, previously, it had conducted a road safety event in Delhi in partnership with Delhi police.
Speaking on the topic, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria said, “Under the ‘People Come First’ philosophy, road safety promotion has been Honda’s top priorities worldwide since 1970. In India too, we follow safety as an integral part of all our business activities. Through various road safety initiatives, we have educated more than 7 lac individuals including women and kids. Since April 2015 itself, more than 1 lac people have benefitted at our 8 traffic-training parks across the regions. The Road Safety Education Centre (RSEC) in Indore is another step in this direction.”
