Honda Intends 200cc motorcycle soon in India

Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India(HMSI) is now intending to introduce a new 200cc bike in the Indian auto market. The company aims to give a hardy competition to much popular bike in the premium segment, Hero Honda Karizma, which was introducing in India since 2001. Earlier, Honda Motor has launched a new version of Karizma in the Indian market, called as Hero Honda Karizma ZMR with the price tag of Rs.92,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the previous model is sold at Rs.73,600. HMSI is now planning to launch a 200cc bike that would fight against Hero Honda Karizma ZMR. HMSI's parent and Indian arms officials have periodic meeting to evaluate the present as well as decided the upcoming products row. The company has not officially confirmed the full-fledged facts regarding their new product line, but Precedent and CEO, HMSI, Shinji Aoyama said," We are targeting to dispatch a new bike in 2010 in the premium segment as against to Karizma. Honda Motor has recently unveiled an all new version of existing Honda Unicorn in 150cc segment, named Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler. The new version is available at Rs. 62,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Dazzler is a little higher than Hero Honda's Hunk and CBZ Xtreme, these models are priced at Rs. 57,775 and Rs. 58,550 (ex-showroom Delhi). On the other hand, Bajaj Auto has also launched its most popular Bajaj Discover higher version with the 150cc displacement. Bajaj Discover 150cc is priced at Rs. 46,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
