Indian Automobiles experienced a decline in sales for November'2010

As known the Indian Auto market is growing rapidly and Auto companies are busy running the race to reach the top position producing efficient and outstanding products. The companies reported their highest ever sales in the festive month of October this year but somehow the production level and sales have gone down during the month of November 2010.

 

As per data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), it is acquired that the Indian two wheelers have come down on the scale of sales for the month of November 2010 accounting a total sale of 9,30,370 units only being that for the festive month of October measured to be 11,27,827 units. The sales and production of two wheelers in the country have definitely grown as compared to last year sales but sales for November 2010 have declined tremendously compared to last month and is expected to decline all the more by the month of December. The two-wheelers which made their presence felt in the market are Bajaj Discover, Bajaj Pulsar, Hero Honda Splendor, Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme, TVS Apache, Mahindra Rodeo, Mahindra Duro, Honda Activa, Honda CB Twister, Kawasaki Ninja, Yamaha R15, Yamaha FZ,  etc.

 

Comparing yearly growth, the sales for two wheelers in the country is growing at a rate of 17.68% selling 9,30,370 units in the current fiscal year which is 1,39,757 units more than that of the previous year. With this the scooter segment accounted maximum with a growth rate of 30.73% selling 165,614 units in 2010 and 1,26,686 units in the year 2009. The bike segment as well increased its grounds reporting 15.61% of growth with a sale of 7,10,182 units in current fiscal year and 6,14,274 in the previous year whereas the the mopeds in the country experienced a growth of 9.1% selling 54,574 units from 49,653 units only.

With this Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) also reported that our exports have declined selling a total number of 116,141 vehicles in the year 2010 which is 2458 less than that of the previous year that measured to be 118599 units. The domestic sales for commercial vehicles have definitely experienced a growth of 13.35% accounting a total sale of 21,955 units from 19,369 units.

Four wheeler sales as well have come down measuring a sale of 161,497 units in the month of November against 182,992 units in October 2010. Car exports from the country have experienced sharpest decline shipping only 31,092 units in the current fiscal year being 40,265 units in the previous year.
