Indian bikes sales figure for November

Here we bring the overall sales figures of our Indian manufacturers to give a clear picture as to how did they fare for the month of November 2009. Overall the month of November was fantastic for almost all the companies which give an indication that the black clouds of recession has left us and the companies have something to cheer for. The month of November saw a massive 32 percent hike in sales for Hero Honda wherein the company managed to sell 3,81,378 two wheelers against 2,89,426 units sold during November 2008. Hero Honda achieved the three million sales mark this November and projects the crossing of four million marks much earlier than this fiscal. In the same month Bajaj sold 2,42,390 motorcycles in November 2009 as compared to 1,32,421 units sold during the same month last year and this counts to an impressive 84 percent increase in sales. This month Bajaj exported 98,521 units which is the highest ever for Bajaj and is 46 percent more than the last Novembers sales of 67,397 units. TVS Motors TVS posted 23 percent growth in November 2009 selling 1,20,844 two wheelers against 98,402 units sold in the corresponding month last year. The company managed to sell 25,115 scooters which is 38 percent more than 18,210 units sold during the previous November. Yamaha India registered 2 percent growth in November 2009 recording sales of 17,055 units against 16,701 units sold in November last year. Yamaha also announced to display the ‘next’ generation of Yamaha products at the Auto Expo in New Delhi this January. Last but not the least Suzuki Motorcycles India registered 47.66 percent growth in sales in November 2009 at 14,745 units as against 9,986 units it managed to sell during November previous year. Presently, Suzuki is concentrating on penetrating in the market by expanding dealer base and improving sales and service network. Honda CB Twister and TVS Jive are the newly launched bikes in India
