2016 Indian Roadmaster Launched at Rs. 38 Lac; Picture Gallery Inside

Indian Motorcycle today launched the 2016 version of its flagship Indian Roadmaster, a motorcycle that defines absolutely comfortable long distance touring, at a price of Rs. 38 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle is powered by the same Thunder Stroke 111 engine with a displacement of 1,811cc, as the 2015 model.
The motorcycle offers as much as 143 litres of storage in its various luggage boxes, including the 65.1 litres in the saddlebags on either side, 64.4 litres in the trunk, 9 litres in the lower fairing glove box and 3.8 litres in the upper fairing storage.
The 2016 version of the Indian Roadmaster is available with new color options that include Blue Diamond plus two-tone Storm Gray & Thunder Black and Springfield Blue and Cream.
Speaking at the launch, Pankaj Dubey, managing director of Polaris India Pvt Ltd, said, “India has become very important in our global plans and we are bringing in products that are built from the heart and have authenticity, grit and strength as additional bonus their core.”
In addition to the standard Indian Chief features, the Roadmaster has a host of high-tech gizmos to keep the rider comfortable and safe on the longest of cruises. These include power-adjustable windscreen, heated grips, dual heated seats, ABS, tire pressure monitoring system, keyless ignition with remote locking storage, electronic cruise control, advanced infotainment system and Bluetooth capability.
