Jatin Jain grabs first position in TVS Goa Gold Cup Motocross Championship 2010

The famous rider, Jatin Jain, defeating Allan Sequeria wins the TVS Goa Gold Cup Motocross Championship 2010. The event was organised by the Gomes Sports Academy in collaboration with Goa Motor Sports Association. Jatin was trailing the favourite of Goan initially but in the end managed to grab the first position with a clinical ride in the second round held at the Gomes Race Track in Candolim on Sunday.
The Goan favourite bike rider, Allan Sequeria scored total 66 points and stood second in the event. A total of twenty four riders with their outstanding skills participated the race. The Sunday afternoon was full of charm and huge crowd could be seen around the racing track. The bike racing took place was one of its kind which had the power to drive a lot of sports lover towards it. Jatin Jain fighting for the first position scored total 35 points ahead of its competitors and turned all eyes towards himself which were stuck to the Foreign class group A MX- 2 category that showed a tremendous down. The winner for another race of the same day was declared to be Pune's Vishal Barguje who maintained a lead throughout from beginning to end. In this, the second position was grabbed by the Subedar and the third by Ashish Anil Kupade.
The famous bike race came to an end in presence of Mr Ashley Gomes, president of Goa Motor Sports Association and the chief guests, Mr Anthony Menezes who is the president of All Goa Karate-Do Association and Ms Abelina Menezes, a Zilla Parishad member. The prize to the winners were awarded by Mr Ashley Gomes and Dyaneshwar Barguje, a former rider.
The third and the last round of the TVS Goa Gold Cup Motocross Championship is to be held in December 2010. A cash prize of Rs 30,000 and an opportunity to participate the World Motocross Championship hosted by FIM is to be awarded to the winner of race.
