Ever since Jawa started its second innings in India, it has always been in the news for some or the other reason. One of the hottest topics has been the months-long waiting period for its motorcycles. Now though, there’s a slight ray of hope as the waiting period for the standard variant as well as the dual-channel ABS variant has reduced significantly. A few months back, the manufacturer had announced that it had ramped up the production in its Pithampur facility to reduce the waiting period and it seems like that is working quite well for the brand. Last month, Pune and Chennai saw a waiting period of around 7-9 months. Now, that has been reduced to 4-6 months. Agreed, this is still quite high for sub-Rs 2 lakh motorcycles, but at least now you don’t have to wait almost a year to get your hands on one of the bikes!
The resurrected brand is also planning to add three more motorcycles to its portfolio with different engine configurations. Check out our detailed report on Jawa’s plans for the upcoming months.
