It’s currently the only commercial electric scooter approved under FAME-II subsidy
Goa-based EV startup, Kabira Mobility, seems to be hard at work. Barely a couple of months after launching its electric motorcycles, the startup is ready with its first B2B offering: Hermes 75. Priced at Rs 89,600 (ex-showroom Goa), the electric scooter will hit showrooms by June.
Just like with the KM 3000 and the KM 4000, Kabira has ambitious plans for this product. While most B2B electric scooters tend to cap the top speed at 25kmph to maximise range and negate the need for a driving licence, the Hermes offers a claimed top speed of 80kmph, making it the fastest commercial electric scooter in the country.
The Kabira Hermes 75 will be offered in fixed and swappable battery options with a claimed range of 80km and 100km respectively. The company claims the 60W40AH lithium-ion battery comes with fast-charging capability and can be charged in four hours. This battery is paired with a 2.5kW DeltaEV motor hub motor that can produce a peak power of 4kW.
Kabira Mobility has equipped the Hermes with decent hardware as well. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork and dual shocks while disc brakes at both ends take care of braking. The e-scooter also gets a combined braking system to distribute the braking force between the front and the rear. Unfortunately, its 150kg payload capacity is less than that of its rival, the Okinawa Dual, which boasts 200kg.

The Kabira Mobility Hermes 75 is the first commercial electric two-wheeler approved for FAME-II subsidy. It goes up against the likes of the Geliose Hope, Okinawa Dual, Detel Easy Plus, and Hero Electric Nyx. Most of its competitors offer various luggage options to suit different needs, however, Kabira has opted for just a top box, best suited for food delivery businesses.
