Kawasaki Launches 2021 Z650 and Versys 1000

Both bikes get minor updates and a price hike for 2021
- The Z650 now costs Rs. 10,000 more than the previous model.

Hot on the heels of the launch of the Z H2 and Z H2 SE, Kawasaki has launched the 2021 Z650 and Versys 1000 at Rs 6.04 lakh and Rs 11.19 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi). The Japanese brand had announced its plans to hike prices of models across the lineup last month itself.

The popular middleweight naked comes in a new paint scheme with Kawasaki’s green paint for the wheels complementing the green highlights on the livery and the chassis. Along with the Z650, Kawasaki has also launched the 2021 iteration of the Versys 1000, which costs Rs 20,000 more than the 2020 model. The ADV tourer from Kawasaki now comes with updated suspension settings for a more comfortable riding experience.
Mechanically, the bike is unchanged and continues to be powered by the 1043cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder motor developing 120PS and 102Nm. Electronic nannies on the Versys 1000 include cruise control, cornering ABS, and traction control.
The 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 takes on the likes of the BMW S 1000 XR in India which is priced at Rs 20.90 lakh.
