...or will we get the Ninja 400 directly?
- No mechanical change made to the motorcycle.
- Sadly, this bike will not be coming to India.
- Kawasaki India is yet to update us on the status of its small-capacity supersport bike(s).
Kawasaki really likes to flaunt its WSBK-winning KRT colours on all of its fully faired sports machines. The colours have consistently been arriving on the Ninja 650 and the Ninja 300, and then the Ninja 400, for years. Even the racy Ninja ZX-25R has a KRT option. In the same tune, the Japanese and Southeast Asian Ninja 250 too now gets those colours.
As is the tradition, the star colour remains green. It gets a good balance of black and white with streaks of red adding a sporty touch to the theme. This is the same colour scheme present on the ZX-10RR which enabled Jonathan Rea to lift his sixth consecutive WSBK title.
Sadly, the Ninja 250 remains elusive to the Indian market. We are still looking forward to hearing from Kawasaki India regarding the BS6 update to the Ninja 300 and the Ninja 400. We were told the Ninja 300 would receive the updates but that was 12 months ago. There’s been no further development. Hopefully, Kawasaki takes a leaf out of BMW Motorrad India’s book and manages to reduce the asking price of the Ninja 400 by a sizeable amount.
