Dealerships across the country are now accepting bookings for the greener Kawasakis

The Kawasaki 650cc range contains some of the most popular middleweight offerings in India, but the bikes are still due for their BS6 updates. Though not officially ‘launched’ in India yet, Kawasaki has given us expected price brackets for the Ninja 650 BS6 and Z650 BS6, two of the most popular models in the family.

The big news now is that Kawasaki dealers across the country have begun accepting bookings for the two upcoming bikes. To secure yourself a Kawi 650, ring up your nearest dealer and hash out the details, and then wire him a refundable booking amount of Rs 10,000. Once that’s done, just wait for the lockdown to lift so that the paperwork can be processed, and the bike is yours! Once you’ve paid up the balance amount, of course. How much will that be, you ask?

Well, back in January, Kawasaki told us that the updated Ninja 650 BS6 will cost somewhere between Rs 6.45 and 6.75 lakh, meaning that it’ll be at least Rs 46,000 more expensive than the current bike priced at 5.99 lakh. The Z650 was sold for Rs 5.69 in its BS4 form, but the greener version will set you back by Rs 6.25 to 6.50 lakh. Aside from the cleaner engine, the extra cash will also buy you a fresh new look on both bikes, as well as new features like LED lighting and Bluetooth connectivity.
