Kawasaki Ninja 650R on June 8th!

Absolute good news for all the bike lovers in the country! With so many bike manufacturers launching powerful, stylish and sporty bikes, even Bajaj is ready to make its customers happy with a powerful bike. The new venture by Bajaj is a joint association between Kawasaki and Bajaj auto will result in Kawasaki Ninja 650R. This sturdy bike will be launching in the country on June 8th 2011, as per media reports.

According to the grapevine, the production of the new Kawasaki Ninja 650R has already begun by Bajaj Auto at the Chakan plant of Bajaj. Kawasaki has constructed their manufacturing plant just inside the enormous Bajaj Auto unit. Here, the superbikes will be manufactured by Bajaj and Kawasaki for their customers.

For the time being, the Ninja 650R will be imported as CKD units from their manufacturing plant in Thailand. There are chances that Bajaj Kawasaki Ninja 650R have to compete with Hysoung GT 650R as the price range of Hysoung GT 650R is expected to be same as Ninja 650R.

The major highlights of Bajaj Kawasaki Ninja 650R includes its 650 cc petrol engine, which churns out the power of 72 bhp. With 6 speed gear transmission, double disc front brakes, massive ground clearance and fuel capacity of 15.52 litres make this bike a pure superbike.

According to the statistics, Bajaj sold approximately 100 units of Bajaj Kawasaki Ninja 250R, which also managed to break a record in India to become the first ever multi cylinder bike whose more than 1000 units were sold out last year. The price of new Bajaj Kawasaki Ninja 650R is expected to be around Rs. 5.5 Lakh. The price might be a little higher, but the features of this bike make this money worth spending. The 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 650R will be available in numerous exciting colors, including flat super black, candy burnt orange and metallic spark black.
