Kawasaki- the Japanese auto major again introduced the world's most powerful production motorcycle- the 300PS Ninja H2R at the 2014 INTERMOT, leaving behind its own Ninja ZX-14R. The new bike also became the world's first production bike to use a supercharged engine, but being a track-spec motorcycle, the bike is not legal for the road use. Few days before, Kawasaki rejoiced its fans by introducing a road-legal version of the bike at the 2014 EICMA, christened as the Ninja H2. Sharing most of the engineering with the H2R, the H2 also gets all the required features, which are necessary for the road license along with the maximum power limited of upto 200PS.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 and H2R has already been launched in many markets including US and UK, however, India will only get the road-legal version of the bike. The street-spec Ninja H2 is expected to be launched in the Indian market by March 2015. When we compare the prices of the bike in different countries, it seems that it will be priced around Rs. 28-29 lacs in India. It will compete with the other high performance supersport motorcycles introduced for the 2015 like the BMW S1000RR, Yamaha R1, Ducati 1299 Panigale, Aprilia RSV4 and more.
Instead of using a high capacity engine like the Ninja Zx-14R, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 is powered by a supercharged 998cc inline-four engine, which saves on both weight and space. Aggressive styling of the motorcycle not only gives a unique appearance to it, but improves the aerodynamics as well. The machine is packed with lots of highly advanced features like latest electronic safety package, high controlability, detailed instrumentation and fully adjustable suspension set-up.
