Turns out KTM isn’t bringing out a rally variant, and the test mules spotted have received aftermarket modification jobs
About a week ago, a couple of hardcore off-road-oriented KTM 390 Adventure bikes were spotted testing. Now, the same models have been spied again, and it turns out that these are custom-built off-road kits by Turtletech, a company that makes aftermarket parts for ADVs.
Here’s everything you want to know about it.
The base for these rally-like models is the stock KTM 390 Adventure, but the cockpit and fascia have been completely revised. Dubbed as the Eagle II, it gets twin vertically stacked projector headlamps and a large transparent windscreen.

Emulating the Dakar bike, the Eagle II has a new tower while housing the same TFT screen and an aftermarket phone holder above it. The original switchgear seems to be intact, but there’s an additional cube beside the right mirror yoke. Even an aftermarket exhaust is fitted with one of the mules.
That aside, the rest of the bodywork, engine, suspension and braking hardware appears to be bone stock. As of now, the kits are still prototype versions under beta testing. Once done, Turtletech will start accepting customer orders!
