KTM Duke 200: More Features surface

The first fruit of joint venture between Bajaj Auto Ltd India and Cross Industries AG from Australia manufacturing KTM Bikes will be making its debut in from of KTM Duke 200 by end of this year or may be by beginning of next year indeed. Going under the final finishing there are some more features revealing in air about KTM Duke 200 which indicate that it is powered by liquid cooled single cylinder engine with DOHC and four valves per cylinder generating peak power of 28 Bhp.

The KTM Duke 200 Price in India is still under wraps but it is speculated that it will vary between Rs 1.2 lakh to Rs 1.6 lakh. This speculation is due to rumours that cost of production has gone upto 1.6 lakh. However it is expected that cost of production will decrease with an increase in production. Coming towards the leaked features of KTM Duke 200 it is noticed that front brake lever introduced in KTM Duke 200 is designed on same platform as used in Bajaj Pulsar 220 and same pattern is followed while designing disc brake and switchgear.

Apart from this there are some features that are distinct in KTM Duke 200 for instance features like daytime running pilot lamp, small storage space below seat followed by rear tyre hugger as some features which are revealed for fist time about KTM Duke 200. There are rumours that KTM Duke 200 may be a tough contender for Hero Honda Karizma as compared to it KTM Duke proves to be more powerful in riding. Sources also reveal that while driving KTM Duke 200 sounds like Bajaj Pulsar with free flow air filter. There are rumours that Bajaj may launch KTM Duke 200 in market before Indian Auto Expo 2012 it is because of this Bajaj has announced to not participate in an upcoming expo event that is scheduled to be organized in January 2012.
