KTM merchandise in India too

KTM, one of the top Austrian off-road bike makers, has launched its semi off-road bike in India. KTM has recently showcased their bike, KTM Duke 200, which was specially designed for the Asian bike market. KTM has partnered with Bajaj Auto, one of Indian auto giants, who will be marketing KTM products in Indian market. Recently KTM store was inaugurated at Hyderabad. They were many enthusiasts who watched the opening of the store and were really fascinated by the looks of KTM Duke 200. Bajaj Auto has planned to open KTM stores throughout the country in different phases, and they have started it from Hyderabad in South.
They are planning to inaugurate store at Bangalore sometime soon. According to a top official of KTM South, who was present on the occasion, said that they are estimating about 2,000 units sale per month, and they are very much confident because KTM Duke 200 is available at a less price, when compared to Honda who are also offering bikes in 200 cc category. There might tough competition between these bike manufacturers. KTM Duke 200 cc comes with single cylinder engine, and this bike is fitted with liquid cooled engine with 4 valved and DOHC. KTM Duke engine is capable of producing 25 bhp power, and a torque of 19 Nm.
KTM Duke 200 is specially dsigned for asian market and they are manufactured at the Bajaj Auto facility centre. According to KTM officials, they feel that young generation bikers would be more inclined towards such accessories and not only that these accessories provide safety to the driver. KTM would show jackets, gloves, helmets, and some apparels and biker kits. The Austrian company has already proven its expertise in more than 50 nations and its second most-preferred bike off-road segment in the European market after BMW.
