Recently, few RC 390 test mules have been spotted by an online portal with a new exhaust. The Austrian manufacturer KTM manufactured its RC series models with the underbelly exhaust and these machines carrying the new exhaust were spotted few days back. The company first unveiled it at the EICMA, Milan and since then the bike has got an immense response from the fans.
The RC 390 was seen with a new exhaust canister instead of the old underbelly along with a new front brake rotor of 320 mm diameter. The new add-ons that were spotted with this bike were switchable ABS, ride-by-wire technology and several other upgrades. The automaker has changed the exhaust so that the machine could comply with Euro 4 emission rules. The new upgrades which the RC series were offered by the company in early 2016 included: DRL’s (Daytime Running Lights), slipper clutch, adjustable levers for brakes and clutch, upgraded radiator fans, upgraded alloys, newer ECU mounts, cushion seats. The current price of the RC 390 is Rs. 2,05,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and with this new exhaust on its way the prices might go higher by Rs. 10,000.
As this regulation is going to be imposed in the country, various manufacturers are updating their current models and including the changes in the upcoming units. As we are reporting about several manufacturers bringing new exhaust systems in their machines to comply with Euro emissions, the same changes they have to do with the ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) also, as this is going to be mandatory by March 31st, 2017.
