KTM To Launch 2017 390 Duke and 200 Duke Tomorrow

The much awaited bikes of 2017, the 390 Duke and 200 Duke are scheduled to be launched tomorrow
KTM launched the 2017 version of the their supersport range of bikes, the RC 390 and the RC 200 on January 19 and now, the Austrian bikemaker is set to launch the all new facelifted 390 Duke and 200 Duke tomorrow.
Apart from the mandatory BS-IV compliant engines, both the bikes are expected to get new bodywork to give them a sharper stance than the bikes they replace, completely new graphics for aggressive aesthetics. While the 390 Duke is expected to get a dual split LED headlamp, the 200 Duke might get a single piece unit. Both the bikes are also likely to come equipped with DRLsin accordance with the new AHO rule implemented by the government.
The 2017 KTM 390 Duke might also get a bigger 320mm disc brake rotor at the front, compared to the 300mm on the outgoing model. The new motorcycle could also get a side slung exhaust muffler to cater with the BS-IV emissions, multiple rider modes, adjustable clutch lever and LCD instrumental cluster as additions over the current model. The 373.3cc liquid-cooled mill produces 43.5PS of maximum power at 9000rpm and the peak torque gets a bump of 1Nm and now stands at 36Nm at 7000rpm.
The 2017 KTM 200 Duke, on the other hand, will have the same underbelly exhaust as seen on the current model, along with a BS-IV compliant engine. The bike also gets new bodywork and refreshed graphics. The 199.5cc mill will continue to produce 25PS of maximum power at 10000 rpm and a peak torque of 19.2Nm at 8000rpm.
The 390 Duke might receive a price hike of Rs 15-20,000 considering the list of additional features it boasts compared to the outgoing model, while the 200 Duke with minimalistic changes might see its price rise by around Rs 5,000.
