Legendary Road Racer Kevin Schwantz Attended the Suzuki Gixxer Cup Finale

Kevin Schwantz, a former World Champion motorcycle road racer from America, recently visited the Buddh International Circuit. He came to India to attend the Suzuki Gixxer Cup finale held on 26th September 2015. The Suzuki Motorcycle India is promoting motorsports in the country with a racing series of the Suzuki Gixxer Cup with the partnership of Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC).

The former legendary motorcycle racer first completed two laps of track on the Gixxer SF Cup bike, and then he switched to the higher capacity litre-class Suzuki GSX-R1000. He also impressed the attendees with his riding skills and wheelies on the track.
"We are extremely excited to announce our next and final round for the 2015 season at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. Not only does this bring the races and excitement to northern India, we will also have the presence of the legendary racing icon Kevin Schwantz, the 500cc Grand Prix World Champion of 1993 and a die-hard Team Suzuki rider for decades!" said by Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India.
He began his career as a trials rider. During his career, Kevin Schwantz won the 1993 World Championship along with 25 Grand Prix wins, 21 lap records, 29 pole positions. He also tried his hands at National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). He is not only a World Champion but is also involved with the Circuit of the Americas as a co-designer. He is running a riding school in Alabama now.
