Interestingly, the EV 200 is essentially the 1975 Honda CB200 with an electric heart
Ever wondered whether you could future-proof a legendary old-school motorcycle? Well, we have the answer with Omega Motor’s latest project, the EV 200.
Now, the EV 200 isn’t particularly “special” on paper, since it employs a small 1.6kWh battery and a 5kW motor capable of a claimed range of around 50km and a top speed of 96kmph.
What does make it special, though, is its charming old-school looks. This is because the EV 200 is essentially a tricked-out 1975 Honda CB200. While the overall looks are reminiscent of the CB200, Omega Motors has thrown in an LED headlamp, a single-pod analogue instrument cluster, and a tan ribbed flat seat, along with blacked-out spoke wheels, handlebar, and chassis for added appeal.

As for the EV essentials, the EV 200 features a neatly integrated charging port and a small LCD, hidden under a leather cover, showing battery-related information. Both are positioned on the mock up fuel tank.
Sadly, Omega Motors hasn’t given away any details about the pricing or availability of the EV 200. Nevertheless, it is certainly an interesting build that old-school motorcycle fans will drool over.
