It's a modified AVL Bullet 350 with a sidecar
India is all set to host the MotoGP for the very first time and the hype around it is real. And as Marc Marquez’ tech-laden, monstrous Honda RC213V MotoGP bike was being readied, he was seen sharing a lighter moment as he took a ‘trackwalk’ astride a modified Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
Interestingly, he was riding it with Indian cricketer Suresh Raina in the sidecar and it seemed like both had a nice ‘Jay-Veeru’ moment. What’s even more interesting is that it’s the retro Bullet 350 with the AVL engine that had the gear lever on the ‘right’ side and the brake lever on the left. Despite the switch from his 230PS Honda to this sub-23PS Bullet, Marc seems to be quite happy riding this retro bike. And this one isn’t just another Bullet 350 with a sidecar, for it’s properly kitted out with a jerry can, auxiliary lights, block-pattern tyres and even a spare tyre mounted at the back of the sidecar.

Also at the event is Indian spiritual leader Sadhguru, himself a motorcycle enthusiast, and frequently seen on bikes like the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled, the Multistrada 1260 and the BMW K 1600 GTL. He's been invited to ‘Be a part of the inauguration lap’ and that seems to mean that the inauguration lap will be by Sadhguru himself.
Summing it up, the hype around MotoGP Bharat 2023 is incredible and we’re more than excited for it. Enthusiasts should be on the lookout this weekend, for that’s when the action commences.
