New 2016 Suzuki Access launches in 5 days

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd have announced that they are going to launch the new 2016 Access 125 on March 15th. The scooter was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo. As far as looks go, the new Access 125 looks completely different from its predecessor. The premium styling of the scooter will now help the brand to compete with the likes of the Honda Activa 125 and the Vespa VXL 125.

The new Suzuki Access 125 is designed to be well accepted by a wide range of customers, both young and old alike. It boasts features like the longest seat, largest under-seat storage in the segment, larger floorboard, front pocket, optional DC socket, first of its kind Suzuki Easy Start System, multi-function instrument cluster with digital display and  a steel front fender and leg shields for added protection and durability.

In terms of design, the 2016 Access 125 has a modern and sophisticated look with some chrome trims, 3D embossed logo and rich bodywork with some stylish, edgy lines. The scooter will also be available with an optional front disc brake and alloy wheels. The new Access 125 will be available in 5 colours- Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, Candy Sonoma Red, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matt Fibroin Gray and Glass Sparkle Black.

The 2016 Suzuki Access gets an updated 125cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, single cylinder engine. The motor is linked to a Continuously Variable Transmission  CVT and should develop a maximum power of 8.6bhp at 7,000rpm along with 10.2Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. The scooter is also fitted with features like telescopic front suspension for excellent ride quality along with a maintenance free battery, tubeless tyres, and a shutter key locking system.

The starting price of the new Suzuki Access 125 is expected to be kept somewhere between that of its existing model and the Honda Activa 125 that costs Rs. 56,948 and Rs. 60,655 respectively, (both on-road, Delhi).
