New Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 And Continental GT 650 Accessories Released

Includes soft panniers, touring seats and flyscreens

Royal Enfield’s rich catalogue of motorcycle accessories has seen a couple of updates. These new bits have been designed for the 2021 Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, which were launched quite recently. Here are the new additions to the catalogue:

Touring seat v2 for Interceptor 650: Rs 4,750

Royal Enfield has been selling ‘Touring’ seats for nearly all of its models and in our opinion, it is a must-have on the Interceptor. What it basically offers is thicker foam with "3D net technology" meant to offer better cushioning on long rides. The stock soft seat simply isn’t up to the task and it causes severe butt-sores when you are out on the highway. What’s unique about this new seat though is that it gets a ribbed old school pattern seat cover with white piping along the end.

Touring seat v2 for Continental GT 650: Rs 4,500

The internal material for this Touring seat for the Continental GT 650 might be the same as the older version but there’s a new seat cover. The rider’s section gets a grippy texture with red double stitching. You could also avail the cowl for the pillion seat (sold separately for Rs 2,950/3,050 depending on the colour), lending it an authentic cafe racer look.

Single seat v2 for Continental GT 650: Rs 3,500

If you are going to be primarily spending your time riding the Continental GT sans pillion, then why not pick up the single seat. This updated version gets the same grippy texture and red stitching as the Touring seat v2. The cowl for the seat costs Rs 2,500 to 2,650 depending on the colour that you choose.

Painted fly screen (Black Magic/Ice Queen): Rs 2,200

While you could always get tinted fly screens for the 650 twins, RE has introduced new painted versions of the tall fly screen. It arrives in either black or white, which depending on the base colour of your Interceptor or Continental would be a good finishing touch to complete the front retro look.

Soft panniers: Rs 6,000 (Rs 4,000 for right-side only)

Want to head out touring on the Interceptor? Royal Enfield has now designed these new roll-top soft panniers that are water resistant. Quick-release straps make for easy loading and removal of the panniers. Each pannier offers 8-litres of storage and has a maximum load capacity of 3kg. You have to buy the mounting system for the panniers separately, which costs Rs 1,600 only (Rs 1,200 for right-side only).
