Piaggio to make a come back; Vespa LX125 on 26th of April

Vespa is back in India! And with a bang! Sure to create a boom. Vespa LX125 from Piaggio is going to be launched soon. Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Limited (PVPL), the two wheeler company from Italy, has geared up to roll out the Piaggio Vespa LX scooter on the 26th of this month. The very first model to be introduced in this series is the Vespa LX125. Piaggio will also carry out the inaugration of its Baramati manufacturing unit 2 days after the launch, that is, the 28th of April. Both the events will be marked by the presence of Roberto Colaninno, who is the chaiman and CEO of the Piaggio Group. As stated by Mr. Ravi Chopra, Chairman and MD of Piaggio, India, there is a lot of craze and enthusiasm among the Indian buyers with regard to the original Italian Vespa scooters, which comes with a unique style and design.

The Indian buyers are hence eagerly waiting for the launch of the Piaggio Vespa in the Indian two-wheeler market. Withiin the Indian market, the Piaggio Vespa will be mainly targeting the segment of customers who prefer style, fashion, looks and brand popularity and demand optimum performance in terms of mobility. As far as the specifications of the scooter are concerned, the Vespa LX125has a powerful 125 cc engine. This engine provides a maximum power of 10 bhp at a maximum torque of 8 Nm. The impressive power and torque ratings do give the scooter an edge over competitors. Vespa is a unique brand that was first brought into picture in 1946. Right from the time it was introduced, the Vespa brand has been able to sustain its reputation of being a leader in terms of elegance, style and design. The company has announced that the positioning of the Piaggio Vespa will be done in the premium segment and hence the scooter is expected to come in the slightly higher ex-showroom price category.
