Fortunately, the hike in price isn’t all that major

  • Blame rising input costs.
  • Revolt has added one more month under the subscription-based scheme (from 37 months to 38 months) for the RV 400.
  • Revolt has not changed the pricing of the RV 300.

Revolt has announced a small hike in the price of its flagship electric bike, the RV 400, under the Revolt Cash Down scheme (conventional one-time payment). It has gone up from Rs 98,999 (ex-showroom, including FAME II subsidy) to Rs 1,03,999, an increment of Rs 5,000. The company says this is due to rising input costs.

Revolt has also increased the duration of its monthly subscription-based scheme for the RV 400 from 37 months to 38 months. However, the revised subscription scheme applies only to new buyers.

Despite the hike in price, the RV 400 still remains pretty affordable compared to premium electric scooters like the Ather 450, TVS iQube Electric and Bajaj Chetak Premium variant.

Revolt has kept the pricing of the Revolt RV 300 (both upfront pricing scheme and monthly subscription-based pricing) intact. It has also announced that the waiting period for those who order from March onwards has come down from 5 months to 3 months.

We had recently reported that the Delhi-based startup plans to enter Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Chennai by March 5. The expansion plans coupled with the reduced waiting period should result in a considerable uptick in sales.

The ARAI-certified range of the Revolt RV 400 stands at 156km. To know more about the motorcycle, head here. If you’re wondering about the running costs of the RV 400 compared to an equally expensive petrol-powered counterpart, check this out. In the meanwhile, here’s the brand’s press release:
