Royal Enfield 650cc Limited Editions Launched In Europe

The ‘Thunder Edition’ Continental GT 650 and ‘Lightning Edition’ Interceptor 650 get kitted with a range of parts from the brand’s GMA catalogue

Royal Enfield has taken the wraps off two limited-edition bikes in Europe, called the Lightning Edition based on the Interceptor 650 and Thunder Edition based on the Continental GT 650. With Europe gearing up for a long summer of motorcycling, these bikes are kitted with a range of parts from the brand’s GMA catalogue. 

The Lightning Edition Interceptor 650 gets removable soft panniers, a touring seat, an aluminium engine guard and a sump guard, tall tinted fly screen, touring mirrors and a CNC oil filler cap. The Thunder Edition Continental 650 too is equipped with a similar list of parts like the panniers, a touring seat, protective parts, an oil filler cap along with a short tinted fly screen and bar end mirrors.

Apart from the above-mentioned list of parts, both the bikes remain the same as their respective regular models. In India, you do have the option of kitting your Royal Enfield bikes, especially these two 650cc models, with a range of accessories including the same ones seen on these limited-edition bikes.

The Lightning and Thunder Editions are limited in number; however, they are available in all the standard colours. Price of the Lightning Edition Interceptor 650 starts from GBP 6,459 (Rs 6.42 lakh), which is GBP 420 (Rs 41,787) more than the starting price of the standard bike. Similarly, the Thunder Edition Continental GT 650 gets a price tag starting from GBP 6,659 (Rs 6.62 lakh), a premium of GBP 420 over its most-affordable standard counterpart.
