Royal Enfield bikes production to increase in 2012

Royal Enfield, the largest cruiser motorcycle manufacturer in India, has made plans to increase the production of its bikes. It's Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 500 cc and Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 350 cc are the most popular bikes in India and facing waiting period of 8 to 10 months.
Royal Enfield has only one production plant at Tiruvottiyur, Chennai and its production capacity is less than demand. According to company sources, it is planning to increase production capacity while currently it is producing 1,000 to 1,200 units per month. By the month of January-February, it will have reached upto 1,400 units.
After that, the company is going to set-up new production plant at Hyderabad with aim of producing 100,000 bikes per year by the year 2012. In view to ramp-up the production, all these efforts are on.
The company is spreading it wings in all worlds market and has recently re-launched its once popular bikes named Royal Enfield Fury in UK and ready to hit Indian shores very soon. To grab the cruiser bike segment, it has also recently announced to set-up a manufacturing plant in Brazil. So now, the company is all ready to capture fast growing the Latin American market.
At present, more than 10,000 customers have booked these bike models and waiting to get their Classic bikes.
