The Bullet 350 has seen a price hike of around Rs 2,700
As if all the COVID-19-related bad news wasn’t enough, the two-wheeler price hikes just keep rolling in. The week started off with Yamaha increasing prices across the majority of its range, followed by Bajaj doing the same yesterday. Today, it’s Royal Enfield. The brand has hiked the price of the Himalayan which you can read about here, and the model in question now is its most affordable and arguably most iconic model: the Bullet 350.
There’s been an increment of around Rs 2,750 across the board, right from the most affordable Bullet X 350 variant up to the costliest ES or electric start variant. This comes after the Rs 5,910 to Rs 6,800 hike that these bikes saw at the time of their BS6 update a few months ago.
Like we’ve been reporting over the past few days, this jump to BS6 emission norms with the addition of fuel-injection and extra catalytic converters has obviously hit manufacturers quite hard. Companies are attempting to soften the blow to customers by spreading it out over multiple small price hikes rather than one big one.
Before Yamaha and Bajaj earlier this week, it was Hero and Honda that had hiked prices of various BS6 models. We can only hope that these increments are coming to an end now and the prices finally stabilise. On the upside, booking a new RE bike right now will get you Rs 10,000 worth of accessories and apparel for free, so ring up or head across to your nearest dealer now.
