The upcoming bike is based on the Super Meteor 650’s platform and gets the Classic 350’s looks

Royal Enfield is expanding its lineup with the recent launch of the Bullet 350 and the forthcoming launch of the Himalayan 450. Adding to this expansion, the highly anticipated Classic 650 has been spotted in a near production-ready form.

Based on the Super Meteor 650’s platform, it shares the same 648cc air-/oil-cooled BS6.2-compliant engine that produces 47PS of power and 52Nm of torque. It is expected that Royal Enfield will tune the engine to match the Classic's iconic riding style.

In terms of design, the Classic 650 closely resembles the Classic 350, featuring a headlight nacelle, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, split-seat configuration, peashooter exhaust, and an upright riding position facilitated by the mid-rise handlebar and mid-set footpegs.

Earlier spy shots revealed key details, including an LED headlight unit with halogen turn indicators and a front telescopic fork paired with a dual shock absorber rear suspension setup. Disc brakes with dual-channel ABS are expected to be standard on both wheels.

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 will likely be launched in early 2024, with an expected ex-showroom price tag of approximately Rs 3.2 lakh.
