The oldest motorcycle brand in the world still in production- Royal Enfield is developing three new motorcycles and 2 new engines to add to its 2016 line-up. The new models will be based on all new platforms and will include a scrambler style adventure motorcycle. Reports are saying that the new motors of the company will be a 410cc single-cylinder OHC engine and a 750cc parallel twin-cylinder engine.

Royal Enfield has already appointed one of the world's best designers- Pierre Terblanche, who had designed some highly appreciated models for top manufacturers like Ducati and Confederate. Now, the company is also planning to setup two new technology centres with an investment of Rs. 500 crore. One of the centre will be situated in Chennai and the other in Leicestershire, UK.

It seems that the company is planning somthing huge for the future, not only for the Indian and UK markets, but for the global market as well. To manage these expansions, Royal Enfield might appoint former Triumph product manager, Simon Warburton, who had joined the company recently as head of product planning and strategy.

Rumors say that the new scrambler styled Royal Enfield might be christened as the 'Himalayan' and powered by their new 410cc motor.
