The Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 is all set to be launched tomorrow at an official launch event in Barcelona, Spain. The event will begin at about 11:30 pm IST (Indian Standard Time) and the prices, specifications and other details will be revealed by around 12:30 am IST. Stay tuned to our social media channels and news section for live updates on the exciting launch. For now, here’s everything we know about the bike:

How much could the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 cost?

In terms of price, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will obviously undercut its sibling, the Himalayan 450. While the Himalayan 450 is priced at Rs 2,85,000 (ex-showroom), the Guerrilla 450 is expected to be priced at around Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

What are the main differences between the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 & Guerrilla 450?

From what we have observed, the Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450 have quite a few differences, starting with their styling. The Himalayan 450 is an adventure tourer, while the Guerrilla 450 appears to be a retro roadster.

The Guerrilla 450 is equipped with a telescopic fork, unlike the inverted fork on the Himalayan 450. It looks like the Guerrilla 450 will get 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, wrapped with Ceat Gripp XL tyres. The Himalayan 450 is equipped with a bigger 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch wheel at the rear.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Specifications we know so far

So far we know that the Guerilla 450 will be powered by the same 452cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Sherpa engine as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, producing 40PS and 40Nm. While it gets the same engine, it might get a different tune to match its sportier character. Braking will be taken care of by disc brakes on both ends, along with dual-channel ABS.

The Guerrilla 450 will be available in two variants. The first is an affordable variant with a semi-digital instrument console like the one seen on the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. The Tripper navigation pod will be offered either as standard or as an accessory. The premium variant will likely get the TFT instrument console as seen on the Himalayan 450. It offers nifty features like Bluetooth connectivity and Google Maps for navigation.

Overall, the Guerrilla 450 has a roadster-style design with a fork triple clamp-mounted headlight, and a rounded fuel tank similar to the Hunter 350. The sleek tail section is inspired by the Himalayan 450.

What are the alternatives to the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450?

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will compete against the likes of other 400-500cc bikes like the Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440, and QJ Motor SRC 500.
