Deliveries of the all new Himalayan 450 have begun!
Royal Enfield has started deliveries of the all new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 after its launch at Motoverse 2023. The new Royal Enfield adventure bike comes at an introductory starting price of Rs 2,69,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)for the base variant and bookings were opened at a token of Rs 10,000.
The new Himalayan comes in 3 colour themes: Base, Pass and Summit. The Base colour theme includes the Kaza Brown Colour scheme. The Pass theme comes with Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Himalayan Poppy colour schemes while the Summit theme has Hanle Black and Kamet White. The pricing of the bike varies with the colour themes, with the Base theme starting at Rs 2,69,000 and the Pass theme costing Rs 2,74,000. The Summit theme is the most expensive, with its Kamet White scheme costing Rs 2,79,000 and the Hanle Black coming at Rs 2,84,000 (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi).
Interestingly, the international-spec versions of the Hanle Black and Kamet White colour variants come with spoke wheels with tubeless tyres. Royal Enfield is still working on getting the tubeless tyre-compatible spoke wheels to India, so you’ll have to wait for some time, if you wish to get one. Royal Enfield also offers a range of accessories, the details of which can be found here.
The new Himalayan also comes with a 450cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine dubbed ‘Sherpa’, the first in a Royal Enfield bike and it outputs 40.02PS at 8000rpm and 40Nm at 5500rpm. The bike is more powerful than the old Himalayan 411 by 15.4PS and 8Nm. Read this to know more about the differences between the two Royal Enfield bikes.
