Royal Enfield Himalayan Spotted at Dealership, To be Launched in Early 2016

Recently, the launch ready version Royal Enfield Himalayan has been spotted at one of the dealerships. The bike is amongst the most anticipated adventure tourer coming in India. If rumours are to be believed, the latest entrant from RE is all set to make its debut in early 2016. The bike is expected to cost somewhere around Rs. 2 to 2.5 lac and with this price tag, it will surely going to attract adventure sports bike enthusiasts of the country.
As revealed in the pictures, the upcoming motorcycle will share some of its components with Royal Enfield Thunderbird and Continental GT. The bike features large windscreen, spoke-wheels, black-painted engine, Continental GT inspired fuel tank, round shaped headlamps and rearview mirrors and a swept-up exhaust. To bring comfortable ride, the company has raised a rear seat and handlebar of this adventure tourer. It also houses twin-pod instrument console having a chrome ring and a high-mounted spatter guard.
Based on modified single tube chassis, Royal Enfield Himalayan also gets telescopic suspension up front and mono-shock suspension at the rear. The forks of the motorcycle are covered with fork gaiters to safeguard the fork seals from dust and dirt.
Powering of the motorcycle is done by all new 410cc, single-cylinder engine that is expected to deliver 27bhp of power and the peak torque of 41Nm and is expected to rev freely to 6000-7000 rpm. The power will be transmitted via five-speed transmission using chain drive.
