The waiting periods have reduced in many major cities this month!
- The waiting periods for the two bikes range from 15 days to 3 months in major cities.
- However, Chennai customers will have to wait longer as it has gone up to 2-6 months.
- Royal Enfield recently hiked the prices of the 650 Twins by a nominal amount.
Royal Enfield’s flagship twins, the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650, have been selling like hotcakes ever since their launch. The waiting periods for the month of September for the two bikes have gone down compared to August. Here’s the full list:
Cities |
Waiting period |
New Delhi |
1-2 months for both bikes |
Bengaluru |
3 months for both bikes |
Mumbai |
15 days to 2 months for standard colour variants of both bikes; 2-4 months for Chrome and other colour variants |
Hyderabad |
1-2 months for both bikes |
Pune |
3 months for the Interceptor, 2-3 months for Continental GT 650. |
Chennai |
2-6 months for both bikes |
Jaipur |
1-2 months for both bikes |
Gurgaon |
15 days - 1 month for both bikes |
While the overall waiting periods in major cities have gone down, there has been an increase in the waiting period for the Chennai market. What was 2 months in August now ranges from 2-3 months in certain dealerships and even 6 months in others. The Interceptor is likely to be preferred over Continental GT 650 because of its inherent versatility and more comfortable ergonomics.
In July, Royal Enfield sold 2,225 units of the 650 twins, which is around 2.7 times more than the sales of Royal Enfield’s entire 500cc range put together! It has even tallied more numbers than the Himalayan (1619 units). Even though Royal Enfield recently hiked the prices of the 650 twins by around Rs 6,000-Rs 6,500, they still command incredible value for money for a multi-cylinder big bike.
