With the launch of the new Aurora variant let's go through a brief overview of all.
Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has catered to the niche audience of cruisers around the world, giving the riders an option for a easy-going, retro and comfy machine. And,now with the launch of the Aurora variant, the motorcycle comes in 4 distinct flavours with unique design and colour schemes to match it. Let’s take a look at each of them.
Fireball
The Fireball variant is the most affordable one, with prices starting at Rs. 2,05,900 (ex-showroom Chennai) and comes with a simple colour-coded fuel tank with the Royal Enfield brand name featured on its sides. The design is minimalistic keeping in line with the variant's accessible nature and doesn’t flaunt 3D logos. This variant has 4 colour options– Fireball Red, Fireball Matt Green, Fireball Blue and Fireball Black.
Stellar
This variant is an upgrade over the Fireball and comes with an added backrest for pillion comfort. Other than the Pillion backrest, most of the features that sets it apart from the Fireball variant are cosmetic, the first thing that an onlooker might notice is the 3rd Royal Enfield badging on the fuel tank and the chrome finish on the exhaust that gives the bike a more premium feel. The chrome finish also extends to the fuel injector and handlebars.
This variant has 3 colour options– Stellar Red, Stellar Black and Stellar Blue with prices starting at Rs. 2,15,900 (ex-showroom Chennai)
Aurora
This is the latest variant of the Meteor and out of all the variants this one is able to capture a retro vibe. Especially the colour schemes, spoked wheels with tubed tyres and most importantly the chrome finish on the engine. Along with these cosmetic updates the bike comes with a deluxe touring seat, big windshield and tripper navigation as standard.
This variant comes with 3 colour schemes – Aurora Green, Aurora Blue and Aurora Black with prices starting around Rs. 2,19,000 (ex-showroom Chennai).
Supernova
The Supernova is the most premium out of the 4 and comes with dual tone colour scheme, premium looking machined alloy wheels and the chromed-out elements are similar to that of the Stellar variant. It features practical upgrades as well including the premium seat cover with a cushioned backrest.
When it comes to colours the bike comes with 2 schemes– Supernova Red and Supernova Blue. Pricing starts around Rs. 2,29,900.
Overall the only difference among the variants is cosmetic and so far Royal Enfield hasn’t brought any tweeks when it comes to performance. The motorcycle is still powered by the same 349cc, single cylinder air-cooled engine that puts out 20.2PS and 27 Nm.
