The Meteor’s top variant is now priced on par with the 2021 Classic 350 Chrome
Hot on the heels of the launch of the 2021 Classic 350, Royal Enfield has announced the new pricing for the Meteor 350 and the Himalayan. Here’s what the current pricing looks like:
The Rs 7,000 price hike for the Meteor 350 is steep, but it was expected. At the earlier prices, the Meteor 350’s Fireball variant was more affordable than the 2021 Classic 350’s Halcyon variant (most affordable dual-channel ABS variant). A similar story was with the top variants of both the bikes, with the Meteor being over Rs 7,000 more affordable than the Classic 350.

The retro roadster has been the company’s primary seller, and with such a massive price difference between the two, the Meteor could pose a serious threat, especially since both bikes are based on the same platform and share multiple components.
What’s puzzling is the Rs 5,000 price hike for the Himalayan. When Royal Enfield launched the 2021 iteration earlier this year, it demanded a premium of Rs 10,000 over the 2020 model. Over the next six months, the price gap has shot up by an additional Rs 9,000. Despite the massive hikes, there has been no substantial change in the bike since its inception. However, the top variant of the Himalayan is still Rs 35,000 cheaper than the KTM 250 Adventure, which we must mention offers a more powerful and sophisticated engine.
If you have been planning to get the Himalayan and aren’t too happy with the new prices, fret not. There’s a more affordable bike, called the Royal Enfield Scram that will debut soon.
