Royal Enfield opens new Brand store

Chennai based Royal Enfield motors has opened a new brand showroom at Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) on the independence day. on this opening it starts a rally of 1400 kilometers for the promotion of bikes. On the Independence start rally will run on the NH-17 and in it 23 members are participating including both men and women. The Royal Enfield bikers will cross sea shores, hill and curved roads etc. For this activity Mr. Shaji Koshy, Head, Sales and Marketing, Royal Enfield said “The brand store in Nerul is our way of acknowledging the importance of Navi Mumbai. All brand stores are company owned.

The “Tour of NH-17” is just one of the many experiential activities that we have planned for the state of Maharashtra. There is much more to come. According to sources that the Royal Enfield will open more brand showroom in the Indian cities. At the present the has 10 brand showroom including Chennai, Jaipur, Bangalore, Mumbai (Bandra and New Mumbai), Coimbatore, Kochi, and Lucknow among others. Royal Enfield presently exports to 30 countries its bikes like U.K., US, and EU etc. After seen the mega demand of Royal Enfield bikes in Indian and foreign markets so it has announced that it will double its capacity to 1 lakh unites per annum by the turn of 2012.

The company will be investing nearly Rs 80 crore to ramp up its capacity at its Chennai plant in a phased manner "the company has already almost doubled its capacity from 28,000 units in 2007-08 to 52,000 units in 2009" said Mr. Shaji. The company will produce more bikes after seen the mega demand of its bikes. In this year the company has launched two new model of bikes like Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 350 and Bullet Classic 500.
